Not yer typical holiday-season cartoon. The mix of animation styles is intriguing — this may be a result of the fact that filmmaker Chris Sullivan took 15 years to make this. Or perhaps there’s something deeper at work.

The film was at Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year, and will get a two-week run at Film Forum in New York starting on December 12. I suspect that’s as wide a release as it will get. But hey, there’s always DVD…
