my should win/will win Oscar picks for Sunday’s Academy Awards…

They’ve just gone out by email to FlickFilosopher.com subscribers. If you’re a subscriber and you didn’t receive it, it’s because you haven’t signed up for the subscribers-only mailing list (or you unsubscribed from that list for some reason). You can find the signup form on the subscriber info page (you’ve bookmarked that, haven’t you?). If you need help, email me and we’ll straighten it out.
I’d really love to have a more integrated, easier-to-use system to deal with subscribers and dish out bonuses, but that would require an upgrade to the site’s backend and some clever engineering, none of which there’s any money to pay for. If you’d like to subscribe and help me get closer to the point where that’s possible, I’d appreciate it.

You might be interested in comparing your Oscar predictions with that of Nate Silver’s of the New York Times:

http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/02/22/oscar-predictions-election-style/

His picks are based on pre-Oscar film awards given by organizations that have a historical record that can be reasonably compared to the actual Oscar results.

Of the categories that you both make predictions in, you agree in 4 out of 6 categories, which is pretty good. Of course, the comparisons only apply to your “will win” predictions.
