“Daddy, what’s martial law?” Aww, they’re so cute when they start asking about the zombie apocalyse.
It seems we can be assured now that this is not really based on that novel of the same name, but it looks like it might be pretty goo—
Wait. Really? Zombies on a plane?
Bwahahahaha!

Get these muthufuckin zombies off my muthufuckin plane!
Problem is these are speed zombies, whereas the novel had them as Romero-class zombies (shamblers) whose threat was mostly due to sheer numbers and human ineptitude.
Here he comes. Here comes Speed Zombie. He’s a demon on wheels…
Could Zombie X be Speed Zombie’s long lost brother? Maybe but who cares — the concept of ‘brother’ is meaningless to zombies!
Yyyyyyeah. So their reaction to the multiple separate protagonists of the book was to have one big tough hero who does everything. I think I’m just going to have to pretend this has nothing at all to do with the book, or I’m going to explode in a shower of (infectious, naturally) ranting.
At which point, well, generic zombie film, really. The massed spilling bodes are nicely done, but I’ve seen particle effects before and I’m sure that now the code’s been written someone else will use it.
All I’ll say is, “World War Z” had a tremendous amount of potential as a zombie mockumentary. This … have to admit, not overly enthused.
Cant wait for this movie.
