Doctor Who thing: how Daleks roller-skate

Yesterday I featured a Dalek vs Doctors roller derby, and wondered about:

how Daleks can roller-skate. Roll? Sure — they do that all the time. But maneuvre? I suppose it can’t be as hard as climbing stairs.

A quick Google revealed the answer: Apparently, it’s typically by being roller chicks dressed as Daleks. These “roller skating Dalek girls”

appeared in a “Doctor Who Specactular” mounted in Brighton by design and production company Lavish as “a high impact product launch show for the forklift manufacturer Linde.”

This is rollergirl Jambot as the Dalek, featured at NOLA.com’s Rollergirl of the Week in 2008:

So now I know.

That’s not very Dalek, but goodness knows I’ve seen worse costumes done with less skill.
