Okay, I thought that was pretty funny. I love the 5 minute Lego movies – no, really! There’s a sly humor in them that I initially found pretty surprising, then came to appreciate. The Lego chick is a bit worrisome, though…
It’s the movie version of Hungry Hungry Hippos that’s got me emotionally distraught. They’re killing my childhood…!

I actually think it looks kind of fun. Reminds me of playing with Legos and having Batman, Ninja Turtles and Star Wars characters all fight each other. Also, LOVED Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

So… the joke is that the action-movie clichés are being done by Lego people?
OK. So what am I going to laugh at for the other 85 minutes?

The trailer doesn’t look great but the directorial duo behind the film are the same who did the wonderful Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and the surprising 21 Jump Street. So I’m not writing it off yet.
