Doctor Who thing: see Peter Capaldi in “The Fires of Pompeii” free on iTunes

capaldifirespompeii

Of course you’ve already seen the David Tennant episode “The Fires of Pompeii” in which soon-to-be-Twelfth-Doctor Peter Capaldi appears as a Roman gentleman. But if you haven’t, or if you’d like to see it again, the BBC is now offering it for free on iTunes (at least at both the U.S. and the U.K. stores; I presume other stores as well but I can’t check them).

Click here for the iTunes preview, or just search the iTunes store for “Doctor Who Fires of Pompeii.”

Thanks to Angelo for the heads-up.

Torchwood’s entire run is on Netflix too right now, so you can compare with his role in Children of Earth.

FYI: Capaldi directed the wry and beautiful “Franz Kafka’s It’s a Wonderful Life” and won an Oscar for Best Short Film! The film deserved that award and more. Multi talented man!
