Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 trailer: Jurassic pork

I laughed at a trailer. I actually laughed at a trailer. I mean, in a way that they wanted me to laugh. “There’s a leek in the boat!” Tee-hee! (Of course, it works better if you can’t see it spelled out. The puns! My god the puns. I’m a sucker for clever wordplay.)

I can’t recall if I’ve ever laughed at a trailer before.

I loved the first film. Can this be as wonderful? Pretty please?

Shrimpanzees and flamangoes? Hee!

Reminds me of Jane Yolen’s children’s book Animal Fare, which is full of this kind of zany mix-and-match: the Blimpanzee, the Wherewolf, the Giraft, The Rhinocerworse, the Telephant, the Gazealous (and its close cousin the Overgazealous), and many more.

This looks fun. I might give it a shot.

i’ve been laughing at the trailer all week… i didn’t see the first one, but may have to get it and watch it. like you, i love word play. and a visual and verbal wordplay extravaganza this appears to be.

Oh dear. You really, really should watch the first one.

Even the standard trailer cliché of having lots of people shouting “aaaaah” as something physical happens can’t ruin this one.
