Doctor Who thing: the TARDIS is at Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights

tardis

According to Pop2It, the Doctor has been spotted in Florida this spooky autumn season:

“Doctor Who” fans that visit Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights are in for a special treat when they walk through the “An American Werewolf in London” maze. The haunted house follow’s the movie’s narrative and as you get close to the end, there’s a very familiar blue police box sitting in the road, next to a crashed double-decker bus.

Creative Director Michael Aiello says the reason for the inclusion was simple. “We had that in our warehouse forever and we needed to fill a space,” he explains. The maze is set in London, so it’s not too big of a stretch. Does this mean “An American Werewolf in London” takes place in the “Doctor Who” universe, though? Ponder that for a while.

There’s no source listed at Pop2It, and I can find no other references to this online. If you’re attending Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights — which opened on Friday and runs through November 2nd — and you can confirm this for me, that’d be great. If you can supply a photo I can post, I’ll love you forever.

UPDATE: My readers are the best! Check out the photo Skylar sent here.

I can confirm the Tardis. After I pointed it out a policeman scare actor jumped out and blew a whistle. It’s very hard to miss, in the London scene towards the end of the house on the right hand side. Very cool!
