So, I was curious about this Legend of Hercules thing that’s opening this Friday in North America. Now I’m just confused and bemused. It looks like Renny Harlin threw some clips from Gladiator and 300 into a blender with some videogame cut scenes. Is it Greek? Is it Roman? Is it generic “classical,” as if the two are interchangeable?
This could be quite hilarious.
It’s in 3D, of course.

Generic classical, with a kind of obvious biblical callout because hey it’s all “old”, right?
When I saw that first battle in front of the city, I thought this was a video game trailer.
Oh, Renny, you’ve had your share of moments — most recently The Dyatlov Pass Incident — but you do direct an awful lot of garbage.
So no Kevin Sorbo then, huh?
It’s Gromanisk. Duh.
It’d be better with fewer clothes on the men.
I had the misfortune of seeing this earlier today. Here’s what I tweeted:
#TheLegendOfHercules – Really bad. All I could think while watching was “Stiffler on steroids.” I mean, come on!
