watch it: “Qwest – Every Movie”

Not quite a retro ad yet — it’s only about 12 years old — but remember when this was cool:

All rooms have every movie ever made in any language anytime, day or night.

It was like science fiction. “Bandwidth”? Neat.

And in just a few short years, we’ve gone from “How is that possible?” to assuming this is a basic service supplied by the Netflix utility, and getting upset when someone messes with it. It may not be quite every movie ever made in any language anytime, day or night, but it’s getting closer to that every day.
