I am not generally known for my overwhelming love of John Carpenter’s movies, but I will say this: His 1982 The Thing surely is one of the most perfect movies ever made. Not sure why anyone would want to fuck with that and redo, except, well… that’s what all the kids these days are doing, isn’t it?

It’s no bad thing that Joel Edgerton is in everything other movie at the moment, it seems. Because he’s awesome.
