You will be unsurprised to discover that a feel-good French-Canadian comedy about a loser who dedicated himself to jacking off into a plastic cup and triumphs as a paragon of fatherhood — dad to a football star! — is slated for a Hollywood remake starring Vince Vaughn. I mean, if you went out of your way to create a scenario that would slot right into Hollywood’s mission to elevate absolutely anything and everything a man can do as heroic, you couldn’t do better than this.
