Despicable Me 2 (trailer)

I’m not ashamed to say I laughed my head off at this. Though I do continue to be disturbed by taser jokes. Tasers are not toys, people.

I’m a little disturbed by the use of Eminem/Slim Shady to sell a family movie.

is silas ramsbottom in any way related to wendolene ramsbottom, wallace’s love interest in ‘Wallace and Gromit in A Close Shave’?

Hmm… to me, this looked like a trailer for a generic toy-selling kiddieflick, using some characters who were in a good film once. Daddy scared of daughter’s puberty, transforming car, somebody shouting “whoooooooah”… it’s all there.
But, thank goodness, I am not the target audience.

did you ever watch the first movie? It wasn’t about generic toy-selling. It was about specific FLUFFY UNICORNS THAT ARE SO FLUFFY I’M GONNA DIE. …what?

I haven’t seen the first film, and I was talking only about the reaction I got from this trailer – a very strong impression of “hey, we’ve got the rights to these interesting characters, so now we’re going to put them through physical comedy to amuse the five-year-olds”.
(Even though as far as I know it’s actually the same people as last time making the film.)

The Minions always went through physical comedy to amuse the 35-year-olds. …what? And besides IT’S SO FLUFFY!!!

Love Kristen Wiig’s role in the movie so far. The way she says “Lipstick taser!” just cracked me up. And the Minions… they’re priceless as always.
