Lessee. Michael Bay has an alien spaceship in the nation’s heartland, an image from Man of Steel. He has a robot using a big ship as a weapon, which we saw in Pacific Rim. At least Bay’s own signature imagery, American flag fetishry, is alive and well:
Astonishingly, sexy blonde 19-year-old Nicola Peltz is actually playing Mark Wahlberg’s daughter, not his girlfriend. Progress!

…what, this franchise is still alive? (ObGenericFantasyHero: “How can you kill that which is already dead?”)
Wait… the beat-up old truck that Wahlberg found is actually Optimus Prime? And his vehicle form is now the classic flat-faced truck from the original stories, rather than the ugly long-nosed thing they’ve been using for the films? Progress! :-)
Haven’t seen the films besides the first one, so I might have missed an explanation there. Don’t really care, though. (Although Wahlberg’s character seems more appealing than LaBeouf’s. And I’m glad Peter Cullen is still getting work.)
Wow, Michael Bay really is the worst offender in the school of teal and orange color correction, isn’t he?
