trailer break: ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ teaser

Take a break from work: watch a movie trailer…

I love it: it’s dark and grim and creepy, just as it should be.

Interesting trivia: The kid playing young Tom Riddle is Ralph Fiennes’ nephew, Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, hence the resemblance.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince opens wide November 21.

The HD version is stunning. I’m very excited for this movie… it really seems like they’re going to pull this thing off.

When little Tom said, “Are you the doctor?” I thought for a brief moment that this was actually a fanvid and the Doctor (as in, Who) would be spliced in.

Somebody’s got a one track mind, apparently.

And on another note, what a name: Hero Fiennes-Tiffin!

I give WB a lot of credit for this trailer. They took a risk focusing on the memory of young riddle, instead of a million flashes on the trio like we normally see in the teasers.

I still think this book will be the most difficult to pull off. First you have to deal with the memories (though we know already many of them have been cut). We have the potion book subplot, the draco subplot. All of which won’t come together until the climax. Can Yates edit this movie together so that it makes sense?

I trust Yates a lot. Everything else of his that I’ve seen has been stunning.

Yeah, me too. :->
