Maybe the most striking thing about this movie is that it really shows off what screen charisma Marilyn Monroe had: if you’re only familiar with her as a caricature of a blond bombshell in the still pictures that seem to typically represent her today, it can be a shock to suddenly understand that there was a palpable presence to her on film.
And I’m not referring to “her bosom companions,” either. This trailer doesn’t actually suggest that Monroe’s breasts have a starring role in this film, does it? (Lordy, yes, it does.)
