Ed Koch was mayor of New York City from 1978 through 1989 — so, basically, from the very moment when I started to pay attention to the larger world outside my own little sphere and through the years during which my political awareness and personal philosophy developed. Ed Koch, when I was a kid, was NYC. So this documentary should be an interesting trip down memory lane…
