‘Doctor Who’ thing of the day: the Doctor now on Facebook

Wed, Jul 20, 2011

No spoilers here, if you’re in the U.K. and you’ve been good and won’t see this episode till tonight, when it finally airs on BBC One. There are no spoilers because there’s pretty much no way to spoil this episode: it’s all setup… all the setup we’ve already heard about.

You know, I’m getting a bit sick of all this to-ing and fro-ing. It’s more fun just posting pictures of knitted Daleks and shit. I love Doctor Who, but I don’t love the inside-baseball nonsense about when or whether the show is returning. Just make us some damn episodes, or don’t.

Yesterday I ran down the bad news about Torchwood: “Miracle Day.” But there are good reasons to look forward to it, too…

‘Doctor Who’ thing of the day: in which we see the violence inherent in the system (re ‘Torchwood’: “Miracle Day”)

There’s a lot of disturbing news about Torchwood: “Miracle Day” in recent days, and all of it is connected to the fact that this season, the show is a joint production with an American network.

question of the day: Can two actors play best friends in one story and enemies in another without driving fans of both projects crazy?

You know, like how Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch are swapping sides as they move between Sherlock and The Hobbit…
