Take a break from work: watch a trailer…
Remember, if you don’t see this movie opening week, it’s the same thing as saying, “Fuck the coral reefs.” But hey, what have the coral reefs ever done for you, anyway?
Unlike last year’s disappointing Earth, this DisneyNature film is not adapted from the BBC series Planet Earth. I’d wished that film had been more like the exquisite Winged Migration, and perhaps this one will be: it’s from the same filmmakers, Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud.
Also: Seals kissing! Cute.
This is a Disney film, so of course I was not invited to a screening of this. I may check it out next week; depends on what my schedule looks like.
Oceans opens today in the U.S. and Canada; no U.K. release date has been announced.
I don’t normally go to see this type of film in the theater, but the whale footage alone would be worth the ticket price.
Pierce Brosnan was FLAWLESS as usual as he talked on the show “Issues” about saving the whales. What a gorgeous person!! Here is the video from last night: http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/bestoftv/2010/04/22/jvm.pierce.brosnan.intv.cnn
Just saw this flick – very nicely done. There are a few awe-inspiring moments, like the battling crab clans covering the ocean floor. Rated G, but little kids may get freaked by the shark/seal and orca/seal encounters.
Where’s George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon? Why isn’t Steven Soderbergh directing? I think they made enough Oceans movies. I mean how many casinos do they have to rob? I don’t think I’ll be seeing this with my family.
