Confused? See, it’s like this: This week we learned that Rachel Weisz will play Jackie Kennedy in an upcoming movie by Darren Aronofsky about the first lady’s life just after her husband’s assassination. And we learned that Robert Pattinson will play Kurt Cobain with Scarlett Johansson as Courtney Love in an upcoming movie from David Fincher.
John Lennon will be played by two wildly different actors in two very different projects. We recently saw the first clips from Christopher Eccleston as the post-Beatles Lennon in Lennon Naked, which will air on BBC Four later this year — enjoy this clip via Blogtor Who:
And Aaron “Kick-Ass” Johnson stars as the very young Lennon in Nowhere Boy [official U.K. site/IMDB], which played theatrically in the U.K. this past winter, and is available for preorder on Region 2 DVD; it’ll open in North America in October.
Oh, and Logan Lerman may (or may not) be playing Spider-Man… except Peter Parker’s not a real person, I’m told.
Anyway, that’s the scoop: Famous dead person needs to be played by an actor in a movie. Who do you pair up? Who is your dream celebrity casting of a celebrity?

Daniel Craig must play Steve McQueen.
Owen Wilson could be John Wayne in a biopic.
Phil Collins should play Napoleon
Only if they get Sam Shepard to be Peckinpah.
.
Yes.
Considering that Sam Shepard was terrific as Chuck Yeager, I’d go for him playing Peckinpah!
If Tobey Maguire can pull off a British accent, he’d be a dream Alan Turing.
Right, we need a script of the struggle and angst of making of both Junior Bonner (a Peckinpah movie with no violence at all, except rodeo riding, that good old Sam had very high hopes for and then NO ONE went to see) and The Getaway (pretty damn bloody and made out pretty good at the box office).
Who’s up for this project?
If they ever did a biopic on Jimmy Stewart then D.B. Sweeney could possibly pull it off visually, whether he could recreate the Stewart mannerisms is another matter.
Will Smith as Barack Obama in the practically inevitable Oliver Stone movie Barack.
