retro trailer: ‘The Muppet Movie’

Take a look back at an old trailer…

This is a looong trailer — I’m not sure where it came from.

Don Deluise, Steve Martin, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman, Milton Berle, Charles Durning, Mel Brooks… and of course, Kermit and Miss Piggy. It’s a who’s who of 1970s comedy

This might be the first movie — after Star Wars — that I remember music being such an integral part of. That little snippet from the “Movin’ Right Along” song in this trailer is like a time machine, slamming me back into being a 10-year-old…

The Muppet Movie is available on DVD in Region 1 from Amazon.com and from Amazon.ca and in Region 2 from Amazon U.K.

heh. I still get “Moving Right Along” stuck in my head on a regular basis, pretty much any time someone uses the phrase…

I was always partial to the Electric Mayhem song Can You Picture That?. Of course, I was always a fan of Dr. Teeth.
