This is a thing lately: medieval British action movies. There’s been a whole slew of them released in the U.K. over the last few years, and I don’t think any of them made it to the States (though Black Death with Sean Bean is coming soon [trailer here]). I saw this one last night; I hope to get around to reviewing the other films (such as Solomon Kane, [trailer here]) on DVD soon.

Paul Giamatti as a medieval English king? Really? Okay, then…

Ironclad opens in the U.K. on March 4; no U.S. or Canadian release dates have been announced.
