In a totally unscientific poll conducted on Facebook, the readers of FlickFilosopher.com have declared, by a narrow margin, Tony Stark/Iron Man (played by Robert Downey Jr.) their favorite Avenger.
A close second in the poll was Bruce Banner/The Hulk (played by Mark Ruffalo), with Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth) coming in third place.
Stark’s appeal is easy to understand, I think. He’s witty, handsome, brilliant, rich, and can fly. He’s basically perfect without being inhumanly flawless. He’s the ideal man, but instead of making us hate him for it, we can’t help but love him.
