On the Road (trailer)

Very much looking forward to this one. I loved Walter Salles’ Motorcycle Diaries, and this has a similar look and feel, so that’s promising. Also: Jack Kerouac. But mostly, it’s the cast. You’ve probably not heard of Sam Riley yet, but he’s going to be huge (see Brighton Rock for a slap of his intensity). You’ve probably not heard of Garrett Hedlund — he’s been forgettable in some real crap, but he was amazing in Country Strong. And of course you’ve heard of Kristen Stewart, but you probably haven’t seen her be fantastic in little films such as The Runaways. So I’m hoping this is a film that will showcase all their talents. We’ll see.
