The Reluctant Fundamentalist green light Kiefer Sutherland Riz Ahmed

A provocative, ambitious drama about the unconsidered assumptions that power our cultures, for good or ill.

Based on the bestselling novel, this is a provocative, ambitious drama that explores the unconsidered assumptions — about religion, romance, finance, and other philosophies — that power our cultures, for good or ill, seen through the eyes of a young Pakistani man who is transformed from a ruthless Wall Street capitalist to a Muslim scholar in Lahore by the dehumanization he experiences as a brown-skinned man in New York in the wake of 9/11. Good all around, but most notable for the powerful performance of up-and-comer Riz Ahemd in the lead.

There is feedback in the system. Things you do affect other people, who in turn will affect you. Many people and especially many politicians aren’t prepared to believe this.
