Warring brothers! Ha. Tony Stark was right.
I’m glad to hear that Natalie Portman gets to do science — if only one line of dialogue — and perhaps won’t be merely a damsel in distress here. *fingers crossed*
The previous trailer showed Greenwich, in London, under attack. This trailer shows more action in London. This really is going to be a bad year for the city…

Rock monster. FIND ITS WEAK SPOT!
…waits for anyone to get it…
I see you’ve managed to get your shirt off again.
My first thought was, “Oh, they have a cave troll…”
Awwwwwww.
Who gets to be crew #6?
You mean Guy? He got a name.
Does he? DOES HE? For all you know, he’s Crewman #6!
And this is why Star Trek fans include Galaxy Quest in the list of official movies.
This is why you’re good at your job.
Rock…
Rock..
Rock Monster!
Down Down Down!
…waits even longer for anyone to get it…
Your reference isn’t that obscure… ;-)
Thor Shack, baby, Thor Shack.
Lo-Ki! Busted… hah!
Does Natalie Portman get to have twins in this one, too?
It seems like placing the major climax in London is more for convenient tax incentives than a story element. But it does freshen the look of the Thor franchise, instead of keeping the scope in a small New Mexico town like the first film.
I also hear Kat Dennings’ Darcy is getting an enlarged role in this movie due to her hit show “2 Broke Girls”, but it seems like she’s just playing second fiddle to Natalie Portman again.
Looks like even Frigga is getting in on the action. Cool. If this can show us some more inventive twists on fantasy action besides the standard two armies charging at each other with swords aloft, I will be quite pleased.
No Sif?
* Sniff. * :-(
Sif’s in several scenes in the trailer. You really didn’t see her?
I might have seen someone who looked like her. I don’t quite remember now. I guess I thought she was missing because no one was mentioning her on this forum.
Now I really need to see that trailer again.
She’s the kickass armored woman who holds a knife to Loki’s throat and quips with Thor at the end. Can’t miss her.
I got the feeling from this one that there was a welcome shift of emphasis from the London disaster porn to the battle elsewhere. Certainly looks more interesting than it did last time.
It makes me laugh that other cities on Earth are chosen for invasion, as opposed to, you know, other planets altogether.
I know why it happens. It just … makes me laugh.
Mewling quim.
