Armond White, at least, is delightfully, insanely pretentious. His reviews are entertaining, if baffling

This is what I was afraid of: the argument has now been framed as “all nuns are evil horror-monsters” vs “all nuns are saints in waiting”. So when someone meets a nun who isn’t a caricature of evil, they’ll be more easily fooled.
