Bad Words redband trailer: bee with a sting

Well, this could be another Bad Santa, or it could be an Adam Sandler movie. Can it maintain the meanness, never falling into sentimentality, while also ensuring that the Jason Bateman character is the butt of the joke, and not everyone — especially not the kids — whom he’s mean to?

I’m gonna hope that because this is Jason Bateman’s debut as director that he’s going to make it work.

Hmmmm…I’d be scared to see this in the theater ’cause it is hard for me to walk out on things and this looks like it would be either amazingly awesome or horrible and eventually maudlin.
