trailer break: ‘Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead’

Take a break from work: watch a trailer…

It’s been more than two years since I decided that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead is the best movie title ever, and now, finally, the movie itself is about to be released.

If I’d seen the trailer before I’d fallen in love with the title, however, I’d be less enthused.

Jeremy Sisto looks like he’s playing his Law and Order character. Which is kinda funny, cuz I have an idea for a Law and Order/Hamlet crossover, actually…

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead opens in New York on June 11, and expands to Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, and Seattle on June 25; no Canadian or U.K. release dates have been announced.

No, no, no… Death is “not.” Death isn’t. Take my meaning? Death is the ultimate negative. Not-being. You can’t not be on a boat.

I love Tom Stoppard. If he didn’t do the script, I’m not going to see this.

I’ve often not been on boats.

It looks cute but lightweight. I’m hoping for something like ‘Buffy’ meets ‘Slings and Arrows’, but I’ll probably be disappointed.

Funny, I was the opposite. I took the title too literally I guess; I doubt Tom Stoppard’s play could be made better by something as now cliche as the undead. This looks serviceable. :)

Anyone else notice the name of the guy doing the soundtrack?
