on my radar: opening 08.11-13.10 in U.K. theaters

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice
What else can Disney plunder from its own history? I’m looking forward to Steamboot Willie: The Beginning, a serious exposé of the sordid backstory of everybody’s favorite mouse, or a live-action Bambi with a creepy CGI deer voiced by Selena Gomez. Till then, enjoy Jay Baruchel getting molested by dancing mops. Hey, it’s for kids! (my review)

The Last Airbender
I look forward to the RiffTrax’s guys take on this one — it should be a riot. (my review)

The Secret in Their Eyes
This year’s Oscar winner for Best Foreign Language Film is a whodunnit and a love story set in Buenos Aires across a quarter of a century. It’s so damn slick and so damn good that I’m sure Hollywood is eyeing it for a remake starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts… or maybe it’s the perfect project for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. (my review)
