Rooney Mara is the American girl with the dragon tattoo; Net neutrality’s swan song; is George Lucas an asshole?; more: leftover links

Every week my browser gets cluttered up with tabs for stuff that I stumble across and figure I might be able to use as a Question of the Day or a WTF Thought for the Day or grist for some other post. And inevitably, I end the week with most of that material unused. But there’s no reason to let this stuff go to waste: I can still share it with you, for your amusement, and start the new week with a clean slate.

Herewith this week’s leftover links, in no particular order:

Sight unseen, why is my first thought about Harry Potter condoms is that they’ll come in lots of different flavors?

Someone at the BBC thinks more people will watch Mad Men if it’s two months late rather than six months late? Dream on! In the UK, if you’re watching an American TV show, either you’re keeping up with the first-run watchers via that Evil Internet and talking about it via that same medium, or you’re waiting until the official broadcast so that you can talk to your mates about it. Nobody’s making the choice between the two based on how long the delay is; they’re making it based on how they like to talk about the show. I don’t believe that this shift will make any difference at all.
