2013: London’s year to be devastated (Thor: The Dark World trailer)

First it was total anihilation in G.I. Joe: Retaliation; then will come some sort of terrorist bombing in Star Trek Into Darkness; and here we see Greenwich getting torn up by, apparently, an alien ship.

Did I forget any mass destruction of London in films this year?

Oh, and: Thor! *squeeee*

I gotta say, I’m all about the Eccleston in this one. Marvel know how to do their villains.

Under 20 lbs of makeup. He’s the guy with the horribly burned face and full-body Dark Armor.

Ah. I look forward to… hearing him in the role. Presumably the character he’s playing will be from the North?

There’s a Frost Giant joke somewhere in there, if only I had more caffeine in my system…

Lots of Norse villains are from the North!

All this destruction of London must be a cheap attempt by Hollywood to cash-in on the 50th anniversary of Dr. Who! :-)

DId you weigh in on the (surprisingly excellent) Man of Steel trailer, MaryAnn? I didn’t see it if you did…

This is what London gets for all those horrible modern buildings that have given it a recognisable American-style skyline. (Writer may be biased.)
