The Machine trailer: robot chick goes crazy

Same old story.

I’ll be curious to see if this low-budget British indie is covering the same ground as Transcendence, the upcoming studio flick in which Johnny Depp’s brain gets uploaded to a computer and goes crazy. Will either film have anything new to say in a much-explored subgenre? (And will this one differentiate itself from Splice?)

I don’t know… the trailer looks very sparse, and maybe that’s a sign that there’s thinky stuff here that they didn’t put in the trailer for fear of scaring off the generic sci-fi audience. I am cautiously hopeful for this.
