loaded question: what are some positive, definitely not evil, hopefully useful and creative uses for AI?

Blue Jean movie review: cowardice and bravery as matters of survival

Fri, Feb 17, 2023

A powerful, necessary film, deeply humane and sympathetic, ugly-beautiful in its panic, full of dread and bad behavior. We feel every iota of Jean’s anxiety at closeted life in the homophobic 1980s.

loaded question: what’s a movie that’s crammed with clichés but feels like it isn’t?

behind the scenes: why I am such a huge honking disaster right now

tl;dr: I’m mentally and physically exhausted with pain and limitations to my life while I wait for hip-replacement surgery that is, at a minimum, months away. On top of all the other shit life has thrown at me the last few years…

I vividly remembering seeing a rerelease of Fantasia when I was probably six or seven years old. “Night on Bald Mountain” scared the bejeezus out of me.
